MEET THE CHILDREN
The Summer of 1942: Here is a photo of the SCWARTZSTEIN Family, they resided at 10 rue Julien Lacroix in the 20th arrondissement of Paris France. Gilbert and his sister Evelyn were both born in Paris. Gilbert is ten years old in this photo. On August 24, 1942 Gilbert, Evelyn and their mother, Helene, were deported from Paris to Poland on Convoy 23. All three died in Auschwitz on Evelyn’s fifth birthday. Their father, already a prisoner of war, died of grief when he heard the fate of his family. Please plant a few blue cornflower seeds in remembrance of these beautiful children.

PLEASE MEET EMILE, age three.
This is Emile Messingier who was born in Paris. This is the photo of him at the party when he was three years old.
They lived in the 19th arrondissement of Paris at 26 Avenue Jean Jaures.
Emile’s father, Chuma Mesingier had already been arrested and deported to Poland on Convoy No.5 prior to the party at the sports arena.
Emile’s mother, Sura was optimistic when she and little Emile were invited to the celebration but while her child was eating ice cream Sura was taken away, shipped to Auschwitz in Convoy No. 16. She died in the gas chamber.
Three year old Emile was placed in the prison holding center outside of Paris for nineteen days and cared for by the prison kinder-guard.
On August 26, 1942 Convoy No. 24 transported him to Auschwitz where he immediately died in the gas chamber. Miraculously, his father, Chuma had talents needed in Auschwitz and his life was spared.
-------------------- Have mercy on little Emile's soul. Please plant a few cornflower seeds in your garden in memory of Emile.
